Therapy at Indigenous Counseling Services can benefit anyone who is struggling with a mental health challenge or looking to improve their overall emotional well-being. We work with clients of all ages and backgrounds.

In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.

The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Many relatives attend therapy once a week, while others may attend less frequently. We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Currently we accept Aetna, Cigna, Cigna EAP, Kaiser Permanente, Kaiser Permanente Northwest, Regence, United Healthcare, and United Healthcare EAP for the state of Washington only. We are out of network for all other insurance plans and are private pay if you are located in Connecticut. Note that we do provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company either for partial or full reimbursement. We cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for any services rendered. If you would like to be placed on the sliding scale, please reach out to us. We do not require any paperwork or "criteria" to be approved for our sliding scale.

Please see our Fees/Insurance section of our site for more information.
